Whether you are dealing with anxiety, are adjusting to campus life, or just need someone to talk to, our Counseling Center is here to help. We offer a safe, confidential environment—including in-person and virtual counseling—where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain new perspectives, and develop strategies to cope with lifes challenges.

What we help offer

Individual sessions

Students can take advantage of up to seven free one-on-one counseling sessions with a licensed counselor each calendar year, focusing on any specific issue they’re dealing with. If you need more support beyond those sessions, we’ll help connect you with additional resources or referrals to keep you moving forward. It’s all about making sure you have the help you need, when you need it.

Group sessions

Small group sessions of three to eight people are always free, and they don’t count toward your seven counseling sessions. You can join an existing group or start your own, focusing on topics that matter to you, like grief, diversity, homesickness, or test anxiety. We also offer peer learning groups to tackle things like holiday stress, healthy relationships, and family issues. If youre interested in building skills, check out our training groups to work on communication, managing anger, and staying positive.

How It Works

In-person sessions

You can meet with a counselor in person at Wayne Corporation’s office, located in Louisville. The space is comfortable and private, so you can talk through whatever’s on your mind in a relaxed setting.

Virtual sessions

If in-person meetings arent convenient, virtual sessions are available through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone to connect.
